It’s time for another YourDailyBlockchain (YDB) Daily Double – what’s happening in the world of Blockchain, fintech, and cryptocurrencies today?
Well, it’s been another good week in the world of crypto, and bitcoin in particular as the price continues to hold its ground around $10K with good volume. No doubt that will drive up the bidding prices of what is surely going to be an exciting auction.
According to reports and the official U.S. Marshalls website, the US Marshalls plan to auction off approximately 4,000 bitcoins on Feb. 18th, worth around $40M at time of this writing. Now before you start to break out your dusty auction paddles, there is one small caveat that “may” limit some of you…. The minimum deposit to enter the bidding is a refundable $200K deposit.
Since this small detail will limit my personal ability to take part in what is sure to be a great event, to the rest of you; Happy Bidding. If you win one of the auctions; hey, don’t forget us little guys over here. We happily accept donations of any amount….
Now let’s move on to some more YDB Daily News!
Justin Sun Finally Got His Sit Down with Legendary Investor Warren Buffet
Well, it seems Justin Sun; Founder and CEO of Tron (TRX) finally got to have lunch with Warren Buffet after a delay back in the Summer due to medical reasons with Mr. Sun.
As you remember Mr. Sun placed the winning bid last year to have lunch with long time crypto critic Warren Buffet as part of a charitable event by Mr. Buffet each year. Sun paid a “whopping” $4.5M for the privilege of having lunch with Omaha’s resident investment legend.
It is reported the two were able to meet a couple weeks ago along with a few notable guests;
- Charlie Lee; Founder of Litecoin.
- Helen Hai; Head of Binance Charity Foundation and
- Yoni Assia; CEO of eToro
Mr. Sun was quoted as saying:
“It was really an honor and I’m grateful for Mr. Buffett’s dinner, wisdom, and vision. I’ll always remember his kindness and support, and will take Mr. Buffett’s advice and guidance to make Tron a better ecosystem, business with all the partners in the blockchain space and beyond.”
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I sure would have liked to be a fly on the wall of that venue. Good times indeed.
And so, it is with this lunch story that we bring yet another YDB daily Double to a close.
We’re looking forward to kicking off what we hope will be a great Valentine’s week for cryptos and the overall Blockchain space in general.
